After a very short night of sleep (we didn’t get to bed until after midnight and were up around 4:30) we headed down to catch a taxi. Took 45 minutes and a couple of complaints before one finally showed up. We made it to the airport with only a bit of time to spare, only to discover that our flight to Amsterdam was delayed. We were about 45 minutes late leaving and were very concerned as we had a pretty short layover in Amsterdam. But we just made it.
It remains to be seen if the luggage makes it. (Amsterdam is having massive luggage problems right now.) We were really worried because Amsterdam is having very long lines (think an hour or two) at security, and according to the airport’s web site, we would need to go out and come back through security. Fortunately, that did not happen. Maybe needs to be done only from some arrival terminals, or maybe they just haven’t updated the web site.
Some parts of travel aren’t so great. 🥴
It was a pretty uneventful flight. We had packed some food for Liam for the plane as he is so picky he eats little of their food (except the desserts).
Jessica picked us up and we were back in our condo mid-afternoon. A good trip.
